Every summer, Ms. Heide gathers a couple monarch caterpillars for a science-in-action display of the life cycle. Monarchs love the gardens and natural flora abundant in Shorewood, and they even thrive indoors as long as they're kept safe and fed well. This year, we had a little surprise: what we thought was two caterpillars, was revealed to be four, and suddenly we have six! It's Monarch Madness, and you won't want to miss it.

Thanks for Celebrating With Us!

In spring 2014, library staff came to the Friends Board with the idea of selling the more valuable books donated to the Friends on eBay.  This would be an additional way to raise money for the Friends (and thus library programs and collections.)
