ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

The Shorewood Public Library is looking for a full-time Assistant Director. This position oversees the circulation team, helps plan and implement large initiatives, high quality reference service to all ages, and supports collection management. Education and experience required include a Master of Library Science degree and five years of professional library experience. See the full job description HERE.

This is an exempt position starting at $29.98 an hour, and requires night and weekend shifts. THE SHOREWOOD LIBRARY TEAM:

  • SHELVERS - 10 hours per week, no benefits. Responsibilities: shelving and collection maintenance.
  • CLERKS - 10-40 hours per week. Responsibilities: circulation customer service, collection maintenance, and management.
  • LIBRARY ASSOCIATE - Full time. Responsibilities: circulation, reference, and collection management.
  • LIBRARIANS - Full-time. MLIS required. Responsibilities: reference, acquisitions, technical services, programming, and many other varied duties.
