The 1920s: A Golden Era of Home Construction
Wednesday, April 9
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Location: Shorewood Village Center
The 1920s witnessed a significant expansion in the development of single family homes in the U.S., including in Shorewood and surrounding communities. These years also saw the collision of old world craftsmanship and period styles with major advancements in materials, construction techniques, and significant shifts in the way we live within homes. This presentation from Keith Stachowiak will cover his experiences working with homes of this era within Shorewood as well as his own 1929 Tudor. He will also share lessons learned on what to look for and what to cherish about your historic home!
Keith Stachowiak, AIA, is the owner of KSK Architects, which specializes in the rehabilitation and sensitive renovation of older homes and buildings.
This program was made possible in partnership with the Shorewood Historical Society.
