Traditional Irish Music Presentation
Thursday, March 27
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Location: Shorewood Village Center
All are invited to come enjoy the music of Ceol Cairde (the Music of Friends). This performance of traditional Irish music will include jigs, reels, hornpipes, and polkas, with instrumentation from the fiddle, concertina, guitar, tin whistle and flute. These jigs and reels are sure to get everyone tapping their toes and maybe even dancing a bit at this family-friendly event!
Ceol Cairde has been entertaining and educating audiences since 1989 and is a favorite at the Dance Pavilion at Irish Fest. Deciding one week a year of Irish music was not enough, they began playing in each other’s living rooms, learning more and more tunes. Ceol Cairde members share the energy and spirit of the traditional Irish music they enjoy so much. The irresistible blending of their instruments provides the unique sound that is the “Music of Friends”!
This program is generously funded by the Friends of the Shorewood Public Library.
