A Historical First Friday Walk
Friday, April 4
11:30 am
Location: Shorewood Public Library
2025 celebrates the 125th anniversary of Shorewood!
In this special, historical edition First Friday Walk, we will travel to what once was a steel bridge that connected the Town of East Milwaukee (modern-day Shorewood) to the Village of Humboldt (a German settlement that no longer exists). This ~40 minute guided walk may be a nice change of scenery for returning walkers, and an enriching bit of history for new and returning walkers alike.
The walk will begin at 11:30am.
Please leave pets at home for the safety of all walkers. Walks will be held in light rain, but if the weather is really inclement (heavy rain, ice, unsafe conditions), we will cancel. Additionally, feel free to call the library any time at (414) 847-2670 to check in on the status of the walks.
Please dress for the weather, bring water, walk at your own risk, and have fun!
We are so excited to walk with you!
This program is made possible in part by the Shorewood Longevity Project.
