Hygge at Home (and Beyond!)
Thursday, January 23
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Location: Shorewood Village Center
Hygge (ho͝oɡə) is a defining characteristic of Norwegian and Danish culture which describes a sense of coziness and comfortable conviviality. Creating such an atmosphere and enjoying good things with good people is a great way to enhance our wellbeing and sense of community! With winter comes cold and harsh weather, but that does not mean there is no opportunity to bring hygge into our daily lives. Join us for an evening of coziness where speaker Teresa Olson will discuss the ways in which we can create these welcoming spaces in our homes, workplaces, and beyond. Stick around after the lecture for some community crafting; coloring sheets and puzzles will be provided, but feel free to bring your own craft!
Teresa Olson is the owner of Olson House and a certified Interior Designer (ASID, WRID), dreamer, animal-lover and proud Scandinavian who values supportive community and a sustainable lifestyle.
This program is generously co-sponsored by the Shorewood Longevity Project.
