Milwaukee 53206 Film Screening and Panel Discussion
Tuesday, September 19
6:30 pm
Location: Shorewood High School Auditorium
Shorewood is just minutes away from the most incarcerated, most segregated and one of the poorest zip codes in the nation. Milwaukee 53206 is an intimate documentary that chronicles the lives of those affected in America’s most infamous ZIP code. Through the intimate stories of three 53206 residents, we witness the high toll mass incarceration takes on individuals and families that make up the community. The film not only examines Milwaukee’s ZIP code 53206, but also illuminates the story of people from across the United States who live with the daily affects of mass incarceration. The film will be followed by a facilitated panel discussion.
Please note that this film will be shown at the Shorewood High School Auditorium. This program is free and in collaboration with the Shorewood School District, Kingo Lutheran Church, and the Shorewood Senior Resource Center.
