Hey Friend!

The Shorewood Public Library will spend the week of October 18-24, 2015, celebrating its Friends of the Library group as part of the tenth annual celebration of National Friends of Libraries Week. The national celebration is designed to highlight the contributions friends groups make to libraries across the U.S.

Assistant Director Emily Passey says, "Shorewood's Friends are a wonderful group of people who give something - whether it's just a yearly membership fee, or a year of serving on the Friends board - to help the library continue to thrive. Support in any form a member can give is appreciated."

“The library has always played such an important role in my life and in my family’s life,” said Friends President Priscilla Pardini. “I enjoy being able to give something back – and being an active member of this group is fun!”

As a thank you to all members of the Friends, the Library will host a continental breakfast and behind-the-scenes tour of the library on Sunday, October 18 at 10 a.m. We hope to see our many Friends there and to thank you in person. Please RSVP to shwd.libraryfriends@gmail.com
