Just the other day, two librarians took the comment cards out of the box at the information desk. There were only a couple, and they were all very nice (thanks!) but one really stood out and spurred us to action.
A patron, who will remain anonymous, filled our her comment card and included a note stating that while she waited in the lobby for us to open one day, she happened to read over our posted policies. She noticed that our Fines and Charges policy was out of date: it still listed our photocopier charges as 10 cents per page!
Signing her note with x's and o's, this patron effectively communicated her love for us while also telling us to shape up! And we appreciated it so much we ran right to the computer, printed the updated policy, and posted it in the lobby. Thanks for keeping your eyes on us.
