Get ready for some spook-tacular fun. Shorewood Library’s annual Halloween Happening is set for this Wednesday, October 29 – 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. in the Village Center. Your young ghosts and goblins can trick-or-treat in the haunted hallway, make a boo-tiful craft, enjoy a spooky snack, and play some ghoulish games like Feed the Zombie and Ghostly Golf. Costumes are optional, but why not get a little more use out of them?
You may notice we moved from our usual Friday date to Wednesday to we don’t conflict with the SEED & Recreation Department’s Halloween events. That means you can enjoy a week of holiday festivities. Trick-or-Treat in Shorewood on Sunday, 2 – 4 p.m., come to our Halloween Happening on Wednesday, attend the SEED/Recreation Department Halloween Party on Friday at 4 p.m., then spend Saturday and Sunday recovering from sugar overload.
You can also celebrate the season by checking out our displays of Halloween books and Scary stories. We have stories for every taste, ranging from “more silly than scary” to “fright alert.”
Happy Halloween!
