The countdown has begun to the biggest bash of the season. Shorewood Library’s Annual Summer Celebration returns for the nineteenth year of fun Thursday July 27, 6 – 8 p.m.. You are invited to join hundreds of your friends and neighbors for an evening of community, music, sweet treats, trolley rides and fun and games galore. Rumor has it five very tall sausages will be part of the fun. This year we will also be adding photo booths to make the trolley line wait a little more “picturesque.”
Here is just a sampling of what you can look forward to
It takes a village to throw a party this big so we want to thank our many community partners for contributing to the festivities. First and foremost, we thank the Friends of the Shorewood Library for providing the funding for the Summer Celebration and many other library programs. We also thank our friends at Culvers of Shorewood, Metro Market, the Shorewood Woman’s Club, local historian Sue Rebholz for planning and leading the trolley tours, the talented volunteer face painters and balloon artists, Teen Advisory Board volunteers, and Shorewood DPW and the Police Department for helping us make it all happen. Of course, we want to thank you for coming out and making it the best party of the season. See you Thursday!
(We know Mother Nature has been a bit unpredictable this summer, so if she decides to rain on our parade – no worries. We will just move all the fun inside.)
