Events Calendar

  • National Novel Writing Month Write-In

Location: Friends of the Shorewood Library Program Room

Are you ready to write a novel?  November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), and the Shorewood Public Library invites writers to work at our location throughout the month.  We offer both collaborative and silent spaces, wi-fi, power outlets, laptops, and natural lighting.  There's free parking, and we're near several transit stops.  Several published local authors have used our space to work on their novels, and we're excited to see what next great read will be written here at the Shorewood Library!

On Sunday, November 5th from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, we're hosting a Come Write In event where writers will have a designated space to work,  mix and mingle.  Light refreshments will be provided as well as some writing activities to spark ideas.  This is a drop-in event, so come and go as you please.
