Location: Shorewood VIllage Center
Terrorism can be broadly defined as "the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes," and the world has recently seen an increase in attacks from 9/11 to the 2015 San Bernardino attack. In this presentation, retired Navy Captain Timothy E. Tyre will examine the internal and external threats to the United States while discussing what Americans can do to be better aware of their surroundings.
Captain Tyre has worked in the Pentagon and the global terrorism committee in Washington, D.C. He has broad experience in counter-terror planning.
This program is in partnership with the Shorewood Senior Resource Center.
